Hailie's Song 3rd verse is incredible. But Mockingbird seems more emotional

i think technically Hailie's song is better. I think the rhyming and skill used in Hailie's song is greater than Mockingbird, but I like Mockingbird better.

and yes, the 3rd verse in Hailie's Song is awesome.

"Hailie's Song" is very...genuine. It was a risky thing to do at that point in his career. "Mockingbird" is an emotional song, but it's much more self-indulgent. One song he did for her, the other was more for him...whether or not he realized it at the time.
