Critics complained he was too vulgar, so he made a joke about not saying fuck for a while. Then an announcer begins the six minutes. I'm not sure what's confusing about it, so all I really did was rephrase the lyrics.

Well some people have said that he doesn't actually say "fucking" (although he does say just "fuck") for the next 6 minutes, if you count I'm Back's time (somewhere around 5 minutes). Is that what you mean?

I wonder that myself. I'm inclined to think it was just coincidence but he's genius enough that it would be believable.

It's completely possible, but that's an odd coincidence. How close is it to 6 minutes before the next "fuckin" is dropped? Is it right at 6? Because that would be a good indication of purpose.

Still, it seems odd that he would have written it like that. Placing songs together with the idea that he'll put a 6 minute space between the uses of a word between them. If you think about how he re-wrote that verse though, it might make sense. After all, "I'm Back" was one of the earlier songs recorded for the MMLP, and the "Remember Me" verse would have been later. It's conceivable that when he was rewriting it, the thought ran through his mind to do it that way after the line came to his mind. After all, he's on the last verse, and the other song is done; he had complete control as far as content went for those two songs.

It's one of those things that is worth debate on either side.

I think it was highly likely on purpose. It's far too uncanny to be a coincidence.

The period he doesn't say it is about 6 and a half minutes - through I'm Back and the start of Marshall Mathers. But then once the time's up he says it a couple more times before Marshall Mathers ends.

And then he says it literally in every song after that. Drug Ballad, Amityville, Bitch Please II, Kim, Under The Influence & Criminal.
