That gap was explainable, not this one though.
It is explainable though...
He came with a solo album in 09 and 010, then a joint EP in 11.
It would be pretty unlikely / weird for him to come with another solo in 012; that's a lot of output year after year, so I expected and hoped that he would leave 012 and come in 013...
You need that gap to build excitement and to break the chain since the last material.
The BME EP may not have been a full album of himself but it was still an album full of his verses and input. He's put out a major release 3 years on the trot, THEN helped with 'Radioactive', 'our house' and now Skylar's project... so this amount of time to do his own shit
properly is expected.
Yeah, it'd have been tiring for him too. I personally wanted him to take a break. He's an Artist at the end of the day, he needs space and time to recultivate his skills. Rejuvenate would be the correct word.
BME was never meant to be a serious project till they had enough material that they could skim through it and make an EP out of it. I bet once they decided that it'd would be an EP, they did few new songs just to give a fresh feel to the whole thing, like WTH is the prime example for it. They themselves said that this EP started with them just fucking around in the studio. I don't think for someone as good as Eminem would make that EP a factor for not putting anything out in 2012. The EP was a joint effort, both on the Mic and behind the boards, so it shouldn't be that straining for him.
But, SH, Yela, Grey all came on him. That's nothing compared to him handling the older crew of Shady Records. I guess they weren't that enthusiastic as these new guys are, so back then he had much time. Hell, apart from his 4 Albums he put out 2 D12 Albums.
I was expecting something late 2012, or early 2013. But by the looks of it, the future is really a
tad bit uncertain.
