It's weird too, like if anyone read that Trick Trick interview posted a while back (I can't think of what site it was on), it sounded like Proof wasn't in a particularly good place prior to his death either. It almost seems like they were both spiraling out of control.

I've said that for a while.

If you listen to Searching for Jerry Garcia, you'll hear it. I think he was planning on killing himself eventually. You can hear his pleas to his friends in D12 to not let things change between them, his apologies to people he felt he had wronged, and how he really felt about himself.

Trex and I have talked about Searching for Jerry Garcia being like a suicide note in PM before too. It makes a lot of sense.

What has stopped him (for now) is his own willpower, as he has said many times in songs/interviews.

I agree, that's what it came down to more than anything. Willpower so that he can be there for his kids.
