Eminem vs Interscope

Postby Snakebeast » Jul 16th, '13, 05:39

This'll be Em's last album under Interscope, I believe. Do you think he'll address the issues his crew has with the label? I mean, both Yela and 50 have had a fuckload of problems with Interscope fucking up their shit (whether it be their album release date or promotion). While Em is more of the "neutral" guy in most conflicts (50 vs Game), I don't think he'd just stand there and watch his friends get buttfucked by Interscope like that. Do you think he'll address these issues? Or maybe even leave after this album?

This will likely be one of his last albums, period.

I don't think he'll directly address the label like that. If he were to do something along those lines, it would come after he left. If he leaves, which I doubt. While he's the type of superstar-status artist that would fair incredibly well as an independent, I don't think he has any reason to leave Interscope. They've done fairly well by him, and leaving to go independent would mean he would be required to be more heavily involved in the business aspect from here on out, and I just don't think that he wants to do that.

Beyond that, his artists are Shady/Interscope. For him to leave as a solo artist, it would probably result in less than preferential treatment of his artists that are still contractually obligated to remain behind. This is another side of things that would probably keep him from leaving or airing Interscope out.

He's known to rake up controversies, maybe he will. I don't think he should, if he plans to that is. I mean, we can point a finger @ Eminem himself! Yo, the man never supported Cashis, Creekwater, Stat...that much. They even left without a word, I guess, so if Eminem does it, it'd be inappropriate. But, um, he's Eminem, Mr. Dgaf, so he ....

Eminem lives in his little, comfortable world, i doubt he will do such things.
