...is not to make an actual sequel, but just a different type of MMLP? A completely different version of it, "Eminem updated" in a sense. I have a feeling he may not be taking "MMLP 2" literally like we are. There could be a reason why he named it that (maybe the music IS like MMLP) but I'm really thinking he's just gonna be bringing that same type of attitude. I think the album will be nothing like MMLP. And I don't want it to be. I want it to be JUST AS GOOD though. And maybe that's how Em looks at it and how we should be thinking about it instead of thinking about how much or less it may "sound" like MMLP.

As long as it's on level with Relapse and better than Recovery, I'll be happy. There is no way this album can match MMLP, I'd be in shock if he could.

He's definitely not going to try and replicate the first one exactly. I take it as a way of just reinstating WHO he is in the game, reminding people of what got him to where he is and just...not giving a fuck, being as open and honest as he was on that album.

what is a sequel anyway? some people are expecting this to be the exact same as MMLP simply because of the title, it might've been that he just ran out of titles like Lil Wayne said in IANAHB2 but i know the elitists will call it not worthy no matter how it turns out

I don't think he ran out of titles and decided to call his next project after his real masterpiece. But yeah elitists will hate it. And newbies will love it more than MMLP.

He isn't the same person he was. He can't make it just like the original and he wouldn't want to.

The name probably comes from the subject matter, or something like that.
