Well the shit was clearly an R2 track.

Didn't sound that way when 50 explained the recording process IIRC

I remember 50 or Em... talking about the track, for it being for Em's album / R2, saying they recorded it in Vegas and it's them two going back and forth like they never have before; initially it was referred to as 'norman bates motel'.

Link?

All I remember was this
. [Em] came and he heard it and he was like, 'Yo, I'm ready.' Wrote his verse, laid it. And then he started the next verse without me, I was like, 'Whoa, I really only wanted one verse.

From 2008 where he calls it Norman Bates Hotel (Guess it was recorded in 2008)
"So far, I've kinda kept to myself and wrote what I felt was exciting from my perspective," Fif said.

I always thought it was intended for 50's album..

Stay Wide Awake is the most overrated track since When I'm Gone & Lose Yourself. I guess it's beat, flow, and rhyming are great, but other than that...it's...well...aight.
