For those curious earlier in the thread.
It depends on the context as to whether you can say "spit a freestyle", you can say "Em can you spit a freestyle?" or "Em is going to spit a freestyle" but you can't say "Em spit a freestyle". Spat is past tense where as spit is present tense.
Anyone post that off the dome freestyle in that sway interview from years back? It was awful haha.

A freestyle is usually just rapping live bars with no proper structure, pre written or not. Where as off the dome is just making it up on the spot. Very simple but so many people confuse the two.
