Other rappers do get away with it. I remember people bashing the "ask we're you're headed off to" line from Underground by saying shit like it's corny and might be the worst line on the album. But at the same time people forget that he did that same exact line a bit differently on criminal. Yet nobody hates.

Tbh, that's correct that rappers get away with it but Em doesn't. Shitty lines from other rappers get all kinds of passes. Let's look at Black Skinhead. 300 like the Romans. Not only was his reference wrong, but it's also corny and no one ever says "oh mer gerd Black Skinhead suckz0rz cuz of diz lyne". And then people say LTWYL sucks because of "window pane" lmao. No, the bias is pretty clear and it's only because we expect better from Em. Other rappers definitely DO get passes lmao rap is fucking filled with shitty lines from everyone. Em's are the only ones that get bashed, and tbh many of his lines aren't even bad and are better than a lot of punchline-rappers like Wayne and Drake's. His punchlines are so much better than Wayne's, yet Wayne's gets bashed much less.
