This. Of course anything's possible, but I just don't think they're pining for each other anymore. Kim's moved on. And honestly, I really think Em has too. Nate denies him having had gf's, but we now know that he just says certain things to throw people off the trail or because he just doesn't know. So my guess is, he's continued dating and has probably fallen in love with at least one other person in this interim period.
And from what it seems, Em and Kim are "cool". Like they're pals, so to speak. I imagine due, at least in part, to them being legitimately OVER each other and past it.
