Well he was never really 'on' to fall off.

He made good songs overall but it was ALWAYS production and hooks. Nothing else.

Always been an abysmal lyricist and an embarrassing rapper.

Never contributed a single 'wow' concept or anything truly interesting to rap.

Thank god he wasn't. Never liked 50, at all. GRODT was only a pretty good album because the production.

Too bad Em couldn't cut Survival and The Monster off as well.

What are talking about?? Get rich or die tryin was straight fire, the whole album was a wow moment. What made him good was not the production or hooks, it was his flow. Which you cant deny was sick back then. But he fell off hard!

It is a good thing he is not in MMLP2, he sucks now.

Yeah the album was fire.

Because of production and hooks.

His flow sucked ass and always has, it's like a mumbled slur. People are just blinded by / love smoothness... I don't think just because it sounds chill that it's a good flow.

He has no precision, no timing, no wit; it's just a slurry mess.

Go back and listen to the verses on Get Rich and tell me they're fire lmao. The lyrics are abysmal.

Could anyone really enjoy going from a song like legacy to.

"Yo I'm back to the hood I'm up to no good
I'm 50, that gutta nigga I wish you would
BLAH BLAH BLAH I'M FROM THE STREETS"

I'm glad Em didn't include any of his people. Like I've said a million times, I listen to Em records to hear Eminem.

Right. Get rich or die trying was just so a good album becuase of the production.
Every rapper could make a good album with beats like that.

Except he made classic shit before GRODT

I know but I'm referring to everything - he was never 'on' as an emcee (he had some really nice raps back in the day though) but popularity, sales, shit even his respect.

Yeah that just came from his image and authenticity though.

People believed that any of his raps were real, and he was the real deal... and after an influx of phoney fake cheeseballs trying to capitalize on the gangster image... he was authentic.

But he's never had respect as an MC.

People liked his music but he doesn't have a single all-time great verse. He's a shit rapper.

If you didn't know who 50 Cent was before Eminem...then no...you don't know anything about the respect he had....sorry...
Mixtapes at bodega's with 30 tracks/rappers on them were bought solely for new 50 Cent songs...
Whoo Kidd/Clue/Envy/KoolKid/Kayslay etc..... Arabs with corner stores were making a killing for 2 years straight because of 50 Cent..
He changed the mixtape game and made it what it was. He made mixtapes huge before Lil Wayne blew up from it. Rappers weren't taking popular songs with catchy hooks and making it into a straight street record. But they all did after him....Early 2000's was all 50 Cent...before he met Em on the eastcoast.. and nationally after...
I'm not gonna argue that he didn't fall off....but he was never on? ...what?

His flow was crazy.....His harmonizing/melodizing was insane....Chamillionaire was the only one that could do anything like it..
Remember that Em skit when he was talking to WhooKiid saying hes quitting cuz of 50..and started reciting his shit...it was the flow and the melody in authentic street talk which what Eminem was crazy about, as was the rest of the world.

Would of been nice for him to at least be on a bonus track.

I really liked My life, and I was hoping for a similar sounding track...
