Omg none of these man.
No more #2's...
I think MMLP2 was actually valid given the significance of crossing the 40 mark and reassessing his place in the game and the 13 years that have passed. It has a certain poigniance to it, amplified with songs like "Legacy", and the cover of the house - old and worn, in conjunction with the same presumption about Em himself / as a metaphor, is fairly great.
But I think he should leave it unique as the only sequel in his catalogue.
Any more and it just seems like he has no idea how to progress.
I'm hoping the 'one last time' shit was in reference to his ultra-personal raps. Though I could not doubt that more than anything he's ever done, as Em simply does not know how to leave his personal life out of raps. Even in Relapse when rapping mostly in total character he can't help with the self-reference and making it some kind of reflection of his real-life tribulations.
I'm hoping he makes some bold next move and does something very unexpected with Rick Rubin. "Rhyme or Reason" has me excited about the potential of untapped musical landscapes.
