Fucking hell what a track. Never thought I'd get to hear 2013 Em rap on a beat like that. So fucking good. And he sounds ridiculously smooth on it.

Yeah good as fuck, and what sounds like a significantly new rap style.

Feels like he's just trying everything at once right now though...

Which is good because he's experimenting - but he's not creating a solid batch of songs with the same feel. He's just doing a bit of everything, all the time.

Yeah? That's what makes a classic @ 'the same feel'.

You can't have a song like 'Monster' on the same album as 'Brainless' and expect to make a classic.

Em's first three all had the 'same feel', but was MMLP just a 'solid batch of songs'; more like an amazing batch of songs with some genius standouts ("Stan", "Kim", "Criminal", "Kill You").

Unless he goes back to giving his albums a unified musical feel in some way, they'll always fall short.

Gorgeous doesn't sound anything like Runaway, and Runaway sounds nothing like Hell of a Life

In the MMLP2, the production is dynamic. One track sounds different to another, but the production is mostly very cohesive (exlcuding Survival). The album is a journey with no familiar route.

You're too consumed by this mindset of songs having a similar sound and feel.
