From my point of view, he's clearly lost the ability to adapt. On MMLP2 he tried to follow his own ear and obviously it was mostly garbage, it was mostly garbage sonically and it was mostly garbage in the way he couldn't follow it, and that fact is being dismissed by fans under the excuse of "experimenting," in my opinion that word has lost it's meaning, it was made to be used upon different albums that are exceptionally great such as Yeezus, and now it's being used to describe everything that's in reality, garbage, a vintage form of denial.
Eminem needs to quit going over his head and use something that someone on his current level could follow, and what's easier to follow than boom-bap? It would take him back to basics and perhaps help him improve gradually again, as if he's just started rapping, after all that's what he sounded like on MMLP2.
