This was when Eminem was afraid of going broke again. He thought these people were taking food out of his daughter's mouth. Completely different situation to his situation now.

He didn't receive his first royalty check for SSLP until late '99. Not to mention he had just created one of the greatest music albums in history (MMLP) and wanted to be rewarded.

Would I still have downloaded his leaked album back then? Sure. But his anger towards the leaker here is completely understandable.

Besides, being justifiably angry at/passionate about things is cool as shit. Caring about things is cool. What's not cool are phrases like "u mad?" and "butthurt," along with this stupid trend on the internet to act apathetic/unenthused/laid-back towards everything.
