Em loves melody... I think what he really loved was 50's dark-ass melodies.

Because when I've heard him seem genuinely excited - it's been over that, like when he talked about the ''Patiently Waiting'' hook where Fif gets a bit angry mid-hook and rips this melody out of it.

And dark-ass melody was a big part of 50's best work and I'd say about the only good part. Because Em sure as fuck couldn't have meant his lyrics or rapping in general @ quit rapping.

Power of the Dollar 50 sounded fly on the mic actually, in spots, but that's about it.
