mike strange and luis resto have done numerous interviews about recovery. after the original just blaze sessions, boi-1da was asked for a handful of beats shortly after forever was 'released' in august 2009. em chose two of them to become seduction and relaspe 2's first single, not afraid. these two tracks, plus love the way you lie, the just blaze cuts (fly away, cold wind blows, no love and you're never over) and, incidentally drop the world, were written and/or mixed by december. Menzo, the wikipedia page on not afraid listing it as having been recorded in 2010 is incorrect. em's wikia article on not afraid and wikipedia's page on recovery both confirm this.

boi-1da was not at effigy for recovery vocals/mixing/mastering and i have no reason to believe he was involved in adding em's verse to where i'm at. i'll post sources as soon as i get back to my laptop

Never really got into Roman's Revenge tbh. Couldn't stand Nicki or Em tbh. Just the way everything was arranged sounds so messy to me. Pretty hard for me to get into that song.

Yikes at people listening to 'Only Em version' of All She Wrote, Forever and Drop the World.

Drake, Kanye, Wayne 2x and T.I. did a good job on those tracks.

Hard to judge. As far as content goes, Airplanes II verse is the best imo. Doesn't hurt that it's all around a great verse/track, too.

Forever and Drop the World are both rap-rappity and slaughter everyone else in the song, which is always a good thing. Both verses made noise and showcase Em being a step above the rest.

The All She Wrote verses are almost flawless, plus there are three of them. His flows are easily some of the best since his comeback. You can tell he stepped it up.

LTWYL II is good, but not on par with the others.

Calm Down is sort of like his Forever and DTW verses, but doubled in length and craziness. I don't know which I would say is the best of all of these but atm it has to be Calm Down.
