He was at a peak when he made TES and then went on to make Lose Yourself. But ever since then, his career took a change for the worse and he even became irrelevant. Encore was a big step down from TES. Since then he has came back with Relapse, Recovery, and MMLP2. Wow. He made 3 groundbreaking albums and then fell off.
What exactly happened? It seems like ever since his best song, ''Lose Yourself'' he hasn't been the same. Something must have happened other than age, pills, era, etc..
Did he just run out of creative ideas? Maybe he gave us all he had and then regressed due to being compared to his own unmatchable success?
Seems to me like ever since he really made it, he changed. He changed in a way in which he no longer was that hungry underdog trying to climb to the top. Now he always gives it his best, but he doesn't have the same, desperate drive anymore.
One thing is clear. He no longer can continue to make mediocre music. If he's not going to release stuff that is as consistently as raw as ''Rap God'' then he has to quit. Otherwise he's over saturating his music. I have no clue why in the hell Eminem made filler songs such ''So Much Better'' or ''Asshole.'' It doesn't make sense. Why does he listen to Paul? Who the hell is Paul anyways? Just a fat Mr. know it all?
