Since Encore, Eminem lost his high pitched voice. He went from exuberant to insipid, purely from his voice change. In TES he had a good voice. Listen to White America, Square Dance, Without Me, ect.. He can't do it like that anymore. I wonder if Eminem can use technology to alter his sound. Nobody wants to hear him scream over and over at 40. You can't deny that his old voice was more fun to listen to. People can forget about a classic if he doesn't innovate the way he sounds.

I would prefer he didn't use anything to alter his sound, unless it's a hook or a bridge. It would irritate me if he altered his voice on his verses. That's one of the unique things about Em, he sounds the exact same live as he does in his songs.

His voice his fine. And as said before, it's aging, his voice his going to change. At least he is still able to take his current voice and use it well.

I don't buy it. Actors can change their voice for instance. Em probably needs to train his voice to sound more high pitched. Vocal training. And he tried something there with Relapse but that failed. I would say that his voice was a major factor in his spark. If not his voice, he's gotta change his tonality. He had something goin in Cold Wind Blows.

I'm pretty sure he could go through some vocal training. Actors and singers do it all the time.

Relapse was only 4 years ago, and I thought his voice was great there. He's still capable I doing that voice, but it's all part of Em's aging as an artist. He realizes that he's 40 now and not his 20-30's.

How did his voice drastically change like that though? Sure he aged, but look at Jay and Nas. Their voices pretty much stayed the same. Where as Em sounds like at least 4 different people throughout his whole career.

People have this assumption that just because Em has got older ( like every one else ) that he can't sound very similar. But do they know this for a fact? No. Em wasn't going trough puberty when he made his first 3 albums, so the disparity shouldn't be that discernible, he may just have to adjust. But he can't say certain lines without that voice. Like in White America, when he said ''to my benefit now'' wouldn't sound right with his regular voice.
