Anyone owns a g-shock? (Got Mine, Pic In OP)

Postby Slim Fiasco » Apr 23rd, '13, 18:58

Yeah, so, the little stan I am, I want to buy that white one (I actually really like how it looks, the fact that Em gets paid to advertise is a side thing) and I was wondering what do you guys think about it, assuming some people in here must've bought it.

Update: Yeah, so I went out and bought myself a piece today, and man, it's fucking awesome. I even hate it because it makes me feel so materialistic, lol. Here's a pic (including part of my hand which is like seeing Jesus face on your toaster):

I've only seen high school kids where them over here tbh. I've never owned one, but my brother owns a few (lol he's not a stan though or anything).

They were a big fashion statement at my high school (and some actually looked kind of cool) and not generally worn by adults here where I live.

But hey if you like it, then why the fuck not? :b:

Lol, one of the good thing living where I do, most things that are a damn commonality in the US (or whatever), are such a rarity in here. I've seen zero people with that watch, and same goes for vintage Air Jordans and other cool things like that (things that I like). Part of the reason is the availability and also the high prices due to the different standards.

That's not to say that I wish to buy things in order to be more unique or to impress people. Ever since I watched Fight Club, my views on personal possessions are messy. :shifty:

Then go for it, bruh :y:

It's a pretty reliable watch. A tad expensive (and maybe overpriced, I don't know, I don't keep up with the watch market), but if you're good for it and you like it then.. yeah :8)

Well compared to Rolexes and shit then yeah they're super cheap. But they're like a couple hundred American Dollars over here. Which is like the price of a video game console. Not that bad, but it's not money I would spend recklessly.

I've got a black and blue one, and I must say, its fucking awesome. Waterproof, practically indestructible, and classy.

I didn't even think they cost that much. The name alone just sounds cheap.

You can get them cheaper, I'm pretty sure ($100?). I dunno, I got one for my brother one time at this Skate Shop and it was like $200 not including tax (but that was in a mall, so that's a price that's been jacked upwards).

I own 3. Not even cause of Em either. Mainly cause they don't get destroyed at my job like any others do or would.

Water and dust proof. Shock resistant. They are durable and price isn't too bad considering.

It more comes down to personal preference. Long as you like it who gives a fuck.
