Did more. We got to witness Em on a bunch of different levels.

If he left after Encore I believe people would have been slightly disappointed and left wanting after such a bad album. As for the last 3 albums, they may not necessarily be classics but they are all good to solid projects an helped his legacy a little by showing the maturity he has gone through over time.

This is such a stupid thread, no offense dude but OBVIOUSLY the era of which his most impacting music and genre defining songs came from will be recognized as his 'better' half of his legacy.

I think if he had went out on TES... he'd be untouchable.

I mean, I think he still is any way...

But Encore and some Recovery shit damaged his air of invincible dopeness to some degree.

But I definitely think it's better he did Relapse-MMLP2... there's so much more he's done on the mic since his return that he never did. He's added a whole array of styles, dramatic flows and delivery, amazing wordplay, great concepts and layers to his character.

And... 3 solid albums, all of which have helped immeasurably to dampen the Encore stain.
