I can't get over how fucking amazing RAP GOD is......

This song is pure genius; an absolute masterpiece.

You have all these wacks calling themselve gods, or lords, or kings or other dumb shit like that. Take Kanye for example and the embarrassing "I Am A God". Dude tries so hard to make a point and be serious about it, it just ends up being laughable since he simply doesn't have the skill to match his self-proclaimed title.

Then you have Em's Rap God, which is like the total opposite. Em doesn't need to brag (although he could) about his immense popularity, or the millions upon millions upon millions of shit he has sold over the years, or how he's still the most relevant rap artist in the game years after entering it. He doesn't need to come up with pretentious "art" bullshit, no, he proves why he's a rap god with nothing but showcasing pure skill and domination over this art form. 6 minutes of insane flows, rhymes, punchlines, and every one of the things that made Eminem be where he is now.

I love Em's tone throughout the whole thing. Like he said, it's tongue-in-cheek. But by being this self-aware, he sounds so confident and bad-fucking-ass. Again, unlike others who try so hard to be perceived as "badasses" but failing miserably at it.

One thing that I noticed with this song is that it makes fuckboi current Eminem, or Eminem haters in general, freaking rage. Makes total sense. How else can you keep saying that he fell off, or that he's a pop artist, or some of the other dumbshit arguments against him when he drops a song like this? The part of the third verse with the super-sonic flow specially addresses those claims and make them rage even more.

In conclusion, this song is incredible. I love the reception it got. I love how it makes people rage. I love how it is so controversial. And I love how it is exactly what the song title suggests.

Most of this probably has already being talked to death, but fuck it, I just wanna say again that Rap God is a masterpiece.

Yeah it's fucking brilliant.

This song is truly worthy of the MMLP2 title... subject-matter wise it's so on-point and yet really does feel like a 2.0 MMLP especially due to that weird ass trance beat and Em mentioning rapping like a robot, and his insane flows in this... makes it seem like MMLP-futuristic.

It's a shame he left some of the best rap off the album, but this song alone adds heaps to it.

His blend of humour and his juggling of everything on this track is some of his best ever.

I like the fact that the only argument against the song is it "lacks replay value" and it is not "a great song". That is completely the opposite of what rap should be about. And then the parallels they draw? Drake, Asap. People who openly question their Dedication to rap

That "lacks replay value" is so wrong to me.

I replay this song all the time, and for a 6 minutes song, that's almost unheard of. Rap God just puts you in a trance, and makes time fly.

I don't even understand people who say it lacks replay value though...

Not at all. For me it's the polar fucking opposite.

The totally dense writing, flows, delivery, blend of humour and emotions, expert juggling of subject-matter and general feel of the song, and its intensity... all make this track IMMENSELY addictive to me and it's one of his most top-replay-value tracks from the album to me.

Some people just need the emotions simplified and served on a formulaic plate like 'YO, I FEEL THIS BECAUSE WE ALL DO, DON'T YOU TOO? TOGETHER WE CAN GET, THROUGH, THIS!!"... shit like that wears thin much quicker because it's so simplistic and transparent.

I first few lines of the song and the part Enough Rhymes part when the beat picks up are a couple of the best flows on the entire album

I've been trying my best not to listen to it since I've been listening to the rest of the album so it can be fresh again but within the next couple days I'm going to start putting it back in rotation. Not shots at anyone, just pure objective observation, but ever since this song came out since no one could argue his skill anymore people have now resorted to saying that showing off skill is all he can do. But like you said, the fact that it has ruffled feathers with his cynics is satisfying in itself.

The fact he also performed it damn near perfect during the YouTube awards was another middle finger to cynics.

That was such a boss move. Everyone knew it. I lol'd when Paul tweeted: lip synch that!

Rap God is Em's new personal theme.

I especially love the delivery and flow of the "I'm an MC true and honest as all hell..." through the "backpack rap ,yap, yap" Those few bars are delivered in such an unreal way.
Then when he goes into the, "Me, I'm a product of Rakim, Lakim Shabazz.."

The absolute best parts of the track for me. It's just such an effortless delivery.. Kill-a-holic (Kill'm all with)!

Other than that the song falls a bit short for me in other ways.. like the beat.. The snare is just GAWD AWFUL

I love the beat. That is just the strangest complaint tbh haha. You and Tyler lost me on that one. That's just such an oddly specific complaint to me

Edit: Does anyone else hear this? Maybe it's just me.

I bet the skeleton beat was dope AF. Because the base of the beat before that shitty sound comes in is awesome.

The point was that siren noise could of been replaced by any snare.
