Em should do a Recovery 2014 re-release

Postby Shuttle Destroyer » Apr 27th, '14, 23:39

With his recovered voice

Damn he was hoarse back in the Recovery era, fuck
It shadows his flows and lyrics on that album, I'm telling you

You guys would add at least 3 points on your Recovery 1 to 10 score if Em had his MMLP2 fixed, vocal-coached-in-order-to-become-great-again voice

Of course that's not even a possibility, but it would be dope to have a Recovery version with the closest to his 02' voice we ever got after his comeback
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
He should really release a double album called Recall, with Relapse without the accent and Recovery without the fucked up hoarse voice (not really, but it would be dope)

He should just cut a few tracks and the album would be a lot, lot better.

So I am the only one that think Em's 2013 voice is significantly better than his 2010 one and a Recovery with his MMLP2 voice would make the album far more enjoyable?

It is, and it probably would, but the problems with the punchlines and production would still be there. Plus I think most people are glad he's moving on from that style so we should keep him moving forward.

I feel you but I listened to Recovery this week and there's so many great flows that get overshadowed by the screaming delivery because of his voice, a issue that wouldn't ocour with his MMLP2 one
The lyrics don't bother me tbh, I think they're pretty dope for the most part of the album

No man lol
I don't have issues with it anymore as I've grown accosutmed to it, just like the accent
But if I could decide on magicly giving Em his 2013 voice when he recorded Recovery or not, I would definitely go for it
StayWideAwake wrote:Nah I like Recovery in general, I'd just rather have him continue with his new zone. I don't want the Recovery thing to come back into the spotlight

Happy that we agree about MMLP2 voice being better then :y:

No.

I would have the gall to say 100% of the forum prefers him vocally now to back then, it has nothing to do with it.

So I guess the right title would be ''If you could give Recovery Em his MMLP2 voice, would you?''

let me give you some insight. He was screaming on all of those tracks because they were all extremely busy and overproduced. On overpowering beats you cannot give a laidback performance, it won't match with the vibe of the beat and it will be overpowered. on more simple productions he can do more with his voice, so no OP, going back would and re-recording the whole album would do nothing unless the beats were changed :coffee:

Yeah I'd say if the production wasn't how it was Em wouldn't yell as much, either way I'd rather a re-release of Recovery with different beats if anything lol
