Honestly.. the production on Recovery makes it unbearable for me. Few songs lyrically stand out but musically I just can't stand Recovery on a sonic level.. And, before anyone jumps down my throat with "listen to the lyrics".. dude if I just wanted lyrics I'd listen to Mos Def or Talib Kweli.. I want the entire package, that's why I like Em to begin with. Encore sonically >> Recovery

My intention was never to say it wasn't, it was just to include the fact that to me Recovery is worse.. which says a lot.

For example his delivery on "Love You More" is absolutely perfect.. Somewhere along his rehabilitation he lost that natural delivery.

One of the few songs though and it wasn't even on the album, on most of Encore it was just lazy except for ''Never Enough''.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

bam

I disagree. The same argument can be made for how forced Recovery's delivery is. You might have attuned to the Relapse/Recovery/MMLP2 delivery and now perceive Encore delivery as "lazy" but his delivery on Encore is closer to TES and MMLP... not a bad thing if you ask me....
And, I don't understand this forum. The bonus set is the same album.. Lol.. there isn't some EP with it on there, it is on Encore.

Bam?

I feel like Eminem has brainwashed some people to think all songs should be rapped with a double-time flow. It's annoying.. it's only cool in moderation and he has adapted his entire style to it.

Encore is brutal.

There is a good handful of Encore songs that are brutal like in an embarrassing way I agree with that. But I prefer his delivery and the production on a good majority of Encore over Recovery. Obviously Recovery has the better content but man.. I just can't stand what some people on here call "Emo-nem"

Recovery doesn't feel like Eminem. Encore does.

I do think Encore has a better Eminem sound to it, no doubt.

Like I said.. Recovery CONTENT wise was better.. but it still fell short and felt Emo and ingenuine to me.

I know, I'm not the biggest fan of Recovery's overall delivery/tone/mindstate. I think I can respect Encore for what it represents, just such a horrible time in his life. He was fatigued from fame, fortune, beef, controversy etc. It awkwardly fits in after TES, it's just a shame it coulda been so much better if the songs didn't leak.

Take off the shit tracks on Encore and replace them with the good ones then the album would have only been a little bit better.

For all its flaws, EMINEM on Recovery still would have beaten Eminem on Encore. Eminem is much much better on Recovery than Encore...now, as far as the albums themselves, it is up to whether or not you mind mediocre beats but good rapping or shit rapping with good beats.

Yeah, I understand. I honestly think the beats play a HUGE role in that too, eh.

Dude, the beats are vomit worthy.. if the beats matched his gotta-yell-at-me style on it.. I could probably bump it more TBH.

My 1st Single is the worst beat Eminem has ever rapped on.

This.

And hands down Trimss, say what you want about Recovery beats, but My 1st Single is awful.
