"better be careful when you bring my name up f-ck this fame
that aint what i came to claim,"

So,acording to your theory, which about 45,5% of me agrees with,Eminem's a hypocrite now?

Could you argue that him putting Rhianna and Lil Wayne on the album is an extension of his 'i dont give a fuck' attitude?

'Yeah people are gonna think i've gone soft but fuck it I wanna be on top of the world again and i dont care who tells me i've gone pop i'll still rhyme circles around them'

hmm...maybe not :coffee:

Maybe so..
Em saw past all the hate for them and collabed..
Didn't give a fuck who he rapped with.

he didn't not suck with relapse and come back strongly with recovery

he killed it (positivley) with relapse, mainstream fans didn't respond, so he sold out or maid a mainstream album as the OP said in order to grow a fan-base, but fuck what critics say, Relapse is his comeback album, not Recovery

I really hope all this is just to attract fans and he'll give us some of his old self in his new album

I forgot you were a 'Relapse' Stan lol..
I probably should rephrase myself.
Relapse was only bad for the fans and dipshit critics that gave it negative reviews..

Good OP, i agree. I have thought about this as well, but i included lil wayne in this conspiracy :8) I believe Em dissed him a lot on Recovery and on a few songs before that, cause in my opinion he is just using lil wayne to get back on top. He is just a tool that Em used to succeed.. Just like appealing to the mainstream and getting back in the spotlight with Recovery. Showing mainstream hip hop still can be good and doesn't need to sound like watered down trance/rnb/pop/rap.

Well, I don't care really what you're like on the inside and I just really want you to come to bed with me. Would you do that if you could? Even if you were just average on the outside (but not fat) I could like you if you sounded smart.

Great post. :y:
Eminem knew he'd be shocking everyone if he came out with Recovery. In a way, it's still the same old Em shocking everyone, just in a different way.

Actually, you bring up some very good points. Good thread :y:

People need to really stop calling it a "pop album", because it's not

Great thread, really good points.

I would like to see the people that bashed him for Recovery respond to this, I think it would start a nice debate.

What the fuck lmao? None of these were good points at all. Relapse has sold over 4.5 million copes. He didn't need to make a shitty mainstream album to let people know he was back. If Eminem created a raw Hip-Hop maserpiece it deffinitely would have sold. Maybe not as much but Eminem's rich so who gives a shit. You're excuse for this album is fucking laughable.

Did he sell out? Without a doubt. Has he gone soft? Deffinitely. Is he mainstream? For sure now

Is his music good? Hell no. Can he still spit hot fire? Absolutely not.
