The reason you see Rihanna and Katy Perry and all those other stars on the magazines and whatnot is because they love to milk their fame. Eminem doesn't, in fact it bothers him to the core. The whole "there's no paparazzi in Detroit" excuse is bullshit, there's paparazzi EVERYWHERE. The man visits studios all over the country, so he's bound to end up in L.A., but still no pictures. He's just good at hiding.

He's rich remember, he probably has a lot of fancy stuff in his house that keeps him entertained.

Katy Perry and Rihanna go out in public places to remain relevant in magazines and such. Eminem is already a veteran and does not need additional press when he is on break. If we are being realistic when he drops that album he will sell tons without having to go nude on a magazine or whore himself out. It also helps that he is great at keeping low, I am sure he steps out I doubt he is a complete hermit. Plus we have stars of much higher worldwide caliber like Madonna and MJ when he was still alive that were barely seen during some of their breaks. If anything I think it is a positive thing since it creates this mystery and sparks more interest when you pop back out.

I'm just gonna say it again:

I hate when people compare Eminem to God. I mean he's good but he's no Eminem!
August 22 2013 - from Berlin to Paris, 400€ spent just for Eminem. IT WAS WORTH EVERY SINGLE CENT!

Maybe if he lived in New York or something he could get away with walking around some places like other celebrities that live in New York, but Detroit and most places? Hell no, he will get mobbed and you know it.

Can you imagine the bedlam if he just went down a high street doing some shopping?

He's an icon for a generation, up with Michael Jackson and Elvis. It would be mayhem. There's no way he could do that.

He's much bigger than God, mainly because he exists.

Yup 2002 was the top. Michael Jackson was on trl a few months before Eminem was and he didn't attract the amount of attention Em did. At that moment having the #1 album, movie & single he was the biggest entertainer in the world.

People say about facebook likes and such but if facebook existed & the internet was as popular in 2002 as it is now the likes would be the same if not higher.

An entertainer doesn't really lose fame they just dont get as much attention as they use to. He is more popular now as more people know his name, but the attention he gets isn't as much as a decade ago when he was still kinda fresh to the mainstream.
