I don't like Just Blaze's beats.

"Cold Wind Blows" is actually good.

But he samples too much and everything else I've heard from him is tacky as fuck.

I know nothing about production really, all I know is what I like and what I don't but, what's those fucking drums - 808s? that are on every fucking hip-hop beat these days, he's real heavy on those. You know like those light, tacky sounding drums. They just ruin beats for me.

I like real music, thick... melodic, stripped down music.

I mean listen to the beats on The Marshall Mathers LP. They're so clean and definitive, they have such a stripped down, clean, quality musical basis. Instead of all this fucking clashing and bashing and just a million sounds at once, and samples... it's so tacky.

Yeah, half of Blaze's beats are good, and half of them aren't so much...I kinda like the Fly Away beat though.

Cold Wind Blows is one of his best beats imo. Sounds like he went for the "Eminem sound" on that one.
