That monopoly board is really really abysmal. Maybe the worst pun he's ever spit.

Window pain is up there but at least that wasn't like, explained like that.

the monopoly board line isn't great, but the rhymes off of it are amazing. You gotta give me him credit for that. Window pain, not so much. I'm with ya on the window pain line.

Yeah, there's only a handful of truly awful puns, the rest range from average-very good. But yeah, his flows, rhymes, passion and delivery all more than make up for it.

Every album has its flaws, but it's just so surprising to hear... the most self-aware and self-analytical and in my opinion the cleverest (in terms of satire, concepts, depth) rapper in history come out with such shockingly cringing lines, without irony.

But, he hadn't done puns for so long and he never really did them too much, and he's kept getting better and better with them, and these days, with like the 'Godzilla line', it's much more seamless, natural and witty. Where as on Recovery, they were often contrived. So it's kind of weird we saw him practicing and getting better, which would be okay but kind of frustrating that it was on Recovery as the songs and potential are so so good. Fucking production too.

The fact it's still a kick-ass album with all its flaws... man, just imagine how good it would be with Em's own production and a few line re-writes.

I definitely think the album will age well just due to how much effort he put in to every verse, in terms of energy and the dense schemes and flows.

Regardless of the little asides we all make about this album and how, I agree that he didn't make a classic with this (just due to some of the poor production and lack of cohesive feel), he still definitely did something with it in my opinion. It's a great album. A lot of memorable shit here.

Not really.

We just disagree. And you're one of those annoying new group of Em fans that, if somebody doesn't agree that all of Em's latest work is total shite, they're a Stan or pretending.

I don't pretend, and I don't care about defending Eminem's music for its sake, I'm nobody's yes man. I haven't got the effort to lie or to express things I don't absolutely or feel. It's hard and tiresome enough doing just the real, as if I'm going to put effort in to blindly pretending. Stop being a tard.

Just need to accept difference of opinion. Douche.

I'm not a new Eminem fan, mr know it all. I was a fan since I was 7 years old and was a true fan of the sslp. I was a Stan just like you and even took all his lyrics literally. I was 7.. But you're insulting Eminem's older work by insinuating that he keeps getting better. I think even you know that that's not the case.

I'm on my smart phone numbnuts. All I know is that I'm not biased, I don't dickride an artist that used to be good 10 years ago.

Maybe you don't...

But you do say things that you can't back up.

So what. Stop lying, cockface.

At no point have I ever said or implied Eminem keeps getting better and better. You'll notice I referred to Recovery in this thread as a "great album", where as in the past, I believe I've referred to The Marshall Mathers LP as something like a 'skull-fucking masterpiece'.

Now, if you read that as me saying he's getting better, you must be a retar... oh. Yeah. Sorry.

I'm also not biased and don't 'dickride' Eminem. I've pointed out flaws of both Relapse and Recovery, said what I like and dislike about them, if I was simply dicrkriding as you say, it wouldn't be an actually informed, varied opinion would it? it would just be "THIS IS AWESOME!!".

And, I think he is still good. He used to be better. But he's still good, and different. Now, if you don't think so; fine, doesn't bother me in the slightest. Just because I disagree with you though, doesn't mean I'm 'dickriding', it just means you're wrong: you ridiculous loser.

The only time he said that he's getting better is when he's talking about getting his wit back. Which is what's been happening, Em's been slowly regaining that wit that he had at one point. As a true Slim Shady LP fan, you should be able to recognize that, right?

You're no better than the average lowlife on Youtube. You like Encore more than Relapse and Recovery simply because it's "old Em". It came out when he was still blonde. I'm very sure that was the only reason you like it more.

What wit has he gained back? The ''butt police'' line? Of course I like ''Old Em'' more. Tell me something that isn't new. And Em wasn't blonde in 8 mile, how ironic is it that I still liked him a lot back then?

His lyricism and best work is very rich, he's the real thing. His work seems to get better with time for me. - Eminem Base

There you go, Stan. I just wasted 30 seconds of my life digging that up. And FYI I don't read every single word, so I'm not about to listen to whatever justification you have as far as what you meant or why you said that.

No cock face. You misread this.

"his work seems to get better with time for me", as in his work ages well. Not that he continues to improve. 'Gets better with time' = when I go back to his music that is years old, not only does it not deteriorate, but it sounds better than I remembered.

Also said 'best work' aka his first three classics. Meaning his classics age better and better.

So you really did just waste your time, as you got it wrong, you fucking idiot.
