Ya know I know this has always been a thought before, but I never actually decided. And now I realize it's hard.

I think Recovery has stronger individual songs, but Relapse is a stronger overall album.

I'm gonna go with Relapse.

I Agree, I also think that CanadaPure is right about being more of a rap album than Recovery.

'Relapse'.

Take away... three tracks, and it's a perfect album to me. And, his most consistent I think... 'TES' is consistent as hell... but that 'Relapse' style and that production from Dre is SO particular and unique to that album that right up until those final clunkers... the shit is classic-esque 'oneness'.

'Recovery' has no real feeling of cohesion, it sounds like a loud sprawling mess, however - the tracks on there for the most part are amazing... but OVERALL it has to be 'Relapse' due to the quality of the lyricism, flows, cohesiveness and production. It's all much more thought-out and well-done.

Like I've said before, Relapse is such an underrated album. If he dropped Relapse when he first got popular, 1999-2003, this album would've been looked at as one of Hip-Hop's most monstrous albums with smashing production by Dre and unmatched lyricism by Eminem.
