I remember when I accidentally killed Eminem in 2005 or 2006 and had to move to *REDACTED* to get away from the butt-police. Good thing they cloned him!

Unlucky :sweating:

I gave mine to my friend 3-4 years ago,he was camping and since he had no power outlet to charge his phone,he used the diskman to listen to music since the batteries could go for a long ass time, never got it back lol....

The first time I recall hearing an Eminem song was when I was in Chicago with my family and the Stan music video was on TV in our hotel room. That was in 2000.

Since I'm relatively a new fan I don't have much to be nostalgic about. One of the earliest memories of him I have is the first time I saw the Not Afraid Video. It was the day it had come out, and it was featured on the Youtube front page. Even though I had heard of Eminem before, I never knew what he looked like, sounded like, or even knew how his name was spelled before then. I remember being really indifferent to the song/video at the time, and didn't become a fan of his until a couple years later.

My earliest Em memory was sitting at my mates house in the early hours of a school night (hard core) listening to the "Stan" single which he had grabbed from his mums car. It also had guilty conscience on it, I remember being completely enthralled in it and slightly creeped out.

I wouldn't properly get into Em until TES came out, where the same "mate" made me pay $5 to him for a burned copy of it. I listened to it on repeat in my discman for months and months (only CD I owned anyway) and just remember how cinematic it all felt, once again I remember the curtains up music used to creep the shit out of me when I listened to it at night.

My earliest memory of EM was back in 98 or 99,i was at a friends house and he had this album called "The Slim Shady LP" My friend said i had to hear this funny skit on the album (Ken Kaniff) and we laughed are asses off and played it over and over again.

I didnt really get into EM at that point though but when The Marshall Mathers LP dropped,i was in 9th grade and The Real Slim Shady was played everywhere,i heard it everyday in school and the video was being played non stop on MTV,i started to get into him then and i bought SSLP and MMLP together.

Couple of years later,i waited outside of a cd shop waiting for it to open so i could buy The Eminem Show.
Did the same with Encore, stood outside the day it was released and waited for the shop to open.I met a friend outside who waited for the same thing.Lol

Good old times.

Yeah, my brother bought me the 1st Eminem CD, and it was the MMLP. I still have it in Stan closet. Pretty weird after all these years I still have all the things intact.

I became a fan when I first caught "My Name Is" video on, back in 1999. I was about 10 or so at my babysitters lol. I remember having to change the channel loads of times after that, because it was "not appropriate for the smaller kids" there.

Other than that, I remember buying all of the CDs. I used to have a bunch of photos of him in my room haha. He was one of my first celebrity crushes haha. Annnd I still find him hot!

I remember Without me was a big hit here, so it was in the radio all time. I liked the song, but that was it. I never was much into hip hop. But I remember back then I used to like songs by Coolio (Gangsta's Paradise), or Puff Daddy (I'll be missing you).

Eminem was different, because he was funnier. My brother used to like him much more than me. But then I listened "Sing for moment" and I just loved it. I discovered that he could do much more than goofy songs. I remember telling my friends, you have to listen this...my friends doesn't like hip hop but most of them loved the song. And Eminem. I always say his bigger success is approach hip hop to people who don't usually listen to it. Nobody else do that in the same scale.

Back in May 2010, sitting on my friend's couch on his iPod Touch listening to When I'm Gone. That was the first I ever heard Eminem before. Ever.

Then I listened to more of his songs on YouTube. I sat there for hours just amazed at his emotion, his depth, his lyrics... his humor.

That's the day I fell in love with Eminem's music. And the day I started to fall in love with rap.
