Huh?
When did I praise 'Encore'.?
Or if you're referring to 'Relapse', I've loved and praised that since day one and there's posts of mine here on this forum from 2009 of me praising it as soon as it dropped.
My opinion has never changed on 'Relapse', I don't go with the flow, I go with what I hear.
I wasn't nessecarily singling you out, it's just funny to me how much the general opinions on relapse has changed

Incorrect actually.
In fact in this very thread I call half of 'Encore' shitty and say the album has shitty elements throughout; I also dislike two tracks on 'Relapse' as they're out of place and pretty shit, I also think many of the puns on 'Recovery are beyond awful and stain the CD, I also find "If I Had" on SSLP boring, some of the 'Recovery' singing cringing, the production abysmal...
I could go on...
So, no I don't like everything he does yo fam yo. You're just making a broad generalization about me to justify not liking the fact I like something you don't like. So... Get your facts base

Stop double posting you hobagbut "If I had..."...boring? Rly? It's probably in my top five best tracks off SSLP. I like how he executed it with that belabored "I'm tired of.." scheme or whatever you want to call it throughout the song. Rare gem that.

Bro come on, surely you've read me say this a million times as I always repeat myself...
It's nothing to do with the song content for me.
It's the style, and only the style, and the music. The sound is what I'm talking about.
Something can fit thematically but if it's not the same music or it doesn't gel then it sounds out of place like the wrong cover for an album. I don't get how you can't hear the DRASTIC musical and stylistic difference in "Beautiful" to the rest of the album... CAB isn't that diff, sounds like a transition, but it's pretty shitty to be there... and "Underground" sounds nothing alike either.
If you look at Relapse 1-16 up until and including "Deja Vu"... every song sounds like one batch of music; same production, same writing and rap style; he varies within the style in terms of delivery and intensity but it's a style and the tracks feel like a family...
Then... a track with 2005-7 writing and rap style comes in, totally different writing/rhyme style, totally different vocal tone and totally different production AND attitude, it's like a fucking rock ballad amongst a track of bouncy sarcastic mania. Sounds totally bizarre to me.
I don't care what it's about, it just sounds stupid there.
And due to the fact it's so perfect up and including "Deja Vu" and then there's that drastic song... I seriously believe those final three tracks were tacked on / forced by the label. Makes perfect sense:
"Em we don't have a single other than "We Made You"... we need 2nd and 3rd singles... "
'Em's mind: "hmm, I have that one song I made from the old batch... that'd be commercial"...
"Yeah Em use that, and we'll put "Crack a Bottle" on there too as it's a #1... otherwise all we have is your goofy intro and an album about rape and eating babies and popping pills..."
"Okay... I don't want to end on that shitty CAB single though, I need to finish the album off with a relevant track ' so leme record this right quick, some kind of crazy psycho track ' and low and behold "Underground" is the only 'Relapse track' which has a different style.
Neither "Beautiful" nor "Crack a Bottle" were made for 'Relpase, hence the difference in sound, but "Underground" was, yet he's rapping different, harsher, more like 'Recovery', indicating it was recorded after that initial batch aka to go out on so he didn't end on a shitty irrelevant song.
I think tracks 1-6 (ending on "Deja Vu" - even dramatically fades out as if the last track, probably so that it could just fade out and then he comes with R2) was the real and full album he made and the next two tracks were compromises, forced on there to make it sell more, hence why they're both singles; and not made for the album, then "Underground" made by Em to try and round-it-off, hence why it has a different style, one like he later went toward with 'Recovery' aka it was last minute.
All pure speculation, but I think that's what happened.
Forget the content yo, it's the sound fam. Sounds stupid.

Sound-wise, you're correct. I agree with you on that. The content makes sense though. Maybe if Em had re-recorded it.....changed the beat a bit...rewrote the verses....rewrote the chorus......nah fuck it, it shouldn't have been on Relapse. CWYWF should've replaced it ._.
