Not really a rapper doh...

He raps, as in, literally... but they're not his thoughts or rhymes, can't really call him a rapper yo.

Xzibit is nearly 40. He's still good.

It's not BEST old rapper. It's OLDEST good rapper. I'd say Dre is a "good rapper".

Dre is the oldest mentioned so far.

Yeah but what I mean is...

When most people here or when discussing hip-hop in general say rapper... they usually mean a rapper who writes their lyrics; Dre doesn't write, he's not what most people mean by rapper.

Rappers are defined by how and what they write and having people write for you usually defeats the object, I don't think Dre really counts. He's a performer... yeah he raps but he doesn't write the lyrics, they're not his thoughts. In hip-hop... a writer is usually implied when saying rapper.

Actually, I can name several old rappers who I think are better than Em: Nas, Black Thought, Ghostface Killah, Andre 3000 (he needs to release his solo album for confirmation though),etc

And the only old rappers that I think are still as good as they used to be are Andre 3000 and Ghostface Killah, the others are just ok/good imo

Did you even read what I wrote?

Once again, I said a few times that obviously he LITERALLY raps which would LITERALLY make him a rapper, but the literal definition is useless in context if that's not how the majority are using it...

The majority here and in hip-hop discussion imply writer when they say rapper. As we are used to hearing rappers who rap THEIR thoughts. So my point still stands and what you did was pointless, especially when I pre-acknowledged that point about four times before you even made it.
