Commercial doesn't only mean the content of his music. Outside of his singles, he can get pretty far away from commercial in that aspect. I just mean in general. His popularity, the way he looks, talks,sounds. The things he does in ways of promoting and being marketable.

He will do whatever it takes to be seen. Dye his hair, be on a magazine cover, appear at sports games, have popular people on his albums.

Having Rihanna on his album won't ruin it. I'm not saying it will help it, but who knows.


I love Superman, that song always sounds fresh and it's so.....perfect for a relationship type song.

It has some generic whore singing on it. So the replacement generic whores (Rihanna , Sklyer, Liz) can compliment a song too.

Nothing about EM was good. The dry wall, eye ball placements sounded like typical 2013 shit rap. The high pitch on "do I look high" was horrible. The flow was just choppy and shit. The lyrical content was horrible. "gosh darn bath salts" gosh darn, really Em? That's about as bad as "dillie dally" on Recovery.

Yeah we don't know how is taste is with music. But him saying it is good is a positive thing. If he said "Man that song sucked. He was screaming, horrible beat, sounded like Recovery" then that would be bad. But he liked it, so that is encouraging.

Em worked for years on these songs. I mean just think about all the songs he must have made for this album. He got a couple of radio friendly songs out the way. Now it's time for the meat of the album. The classics are coming. Either that or a big pile of shit. Glass half empty or full.

I'm pretty sure that when people will listen to the leak it will be exactly like in 2010 with Recovery. Everybody will call the album a classic, the best he ever made, classic songs etc ... Let's just hope that a few month/years later people won't change their minds like they did with Recovery.

Or it can be like Relapse. Everybody hate at first and then, times later, start to appreciate the album as it truly deserve it

2. Any artist which is signed to a major label has to on some level deliver the goods in terms of... catchy music that sells. That's inescapable. What was he gonna do, say "fuck off!"? after the incredible odds of being a white rapper in his late 20s getting signed by fucking Dr. Dre... he was going to refuse to make a MyNameIs-esque catchy song to lead the album?

It was hardly a huge compromise was it. MMLP is one of the least compromised mainstream albums, or albums period ever... "The Real Slim Shady" is catchy, but so is all his music. What's compromised about TRSS - he made it simpler, sure, but it's a classic hip-hop song...
