Same. I agree with eminembase, but his flow is not golden, it's just better. Still not TES. Rap God was the best flow on the album. The first 3 albums all have identity. Relapse also almost had an identity, however most of the album was not that enjoyable. You know Not Afraid was a great hype song for an album called ''Recovery'' however the rest of the album didn't coincide with it. I loved Recovery my first 4 listens. After that it got worse every time. Mainly the lyrics, so plain, plus the beats get old.

And you wanna know a coincidence? Every album that has that identity you're referring to has an intro, Paul, Steve, and skits.

Steve Berman complains when eminem puts out classics, so when he puts out sub-par stuff steve doesn't appear............................

Oh and I actually agree with the Op's opinion on Em new choppy flow. IMO i feel like that's what killed the first half of Bad Guy for me. In "Stan" his flow was as if stan was talking so it seemed like a normal person, and em put some effort into changing the tone of his voice to sound slightly different to his own verse. In Bad Guy he keeps switching out tempos and rhyme patterns (recently i feel like hes over-performing his skills tbh) and voice styles (and i don't mean when matthew is imitating slim) so it doesn't seem like a character anymore, it seems like eminem just rapping in different styles. I get disgusted when people even put the two in the same quality category since stan >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bad Guy

I have no issues with him being choppy, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Being choppy isn't a bad thing and it seems that tr has been brainwashed by certain members into thinking if his flows choppy than its shit.

Honestly its your call what you like from em, I'm glad that I enjoy mmlp2 otherwise I'd be complaining as well but at some point you should stop and move on.

I am just giving constructive opinions TBH. Yeah flow is subjective.. just like production and content.. the only thing that isn't subjective in music is the complexity of the lyrics because there are tangibles in it so don't make that "it's subjective" stupid argument.

I enjoy MMLP2 but I recognize the fact that his choppy, over/under annuciation flow is not great. No body is brainwashed.. too much of anything is just not good and he uses it the most. Is it crap just because it's choppy and over/under annuciated? No it just holds Eminem back from making a classic.. just like the production, punchlines and screaming hold Recovery back.. just like the content and accents hold Relapse back. Tell me what held MMLP and TES back? That's the point we're making.
