It was the most disappointing one at first, but aged really well. Relapse becomes unlistenable over time. He didn't talk about Halie in mmlp2, or dedicate a song for her. Instead he killed Cleaning Out my Closet and every other song he made about his mom. Encore was a true album. MMLP2 killed MMLP. It was the biggest disfavor to hip hop.

Encore had the song with proof right before he died. very symbolic. Never Enough and YBR were true hip hop songs. Not stellar, but truer hip hop.

Love You More, We As Americans > any song on MMLP 2

Encore talked about politics like in tes; Mosh

Hopsinshadie just said Encore aged really well, that it was a true album, and that it was true hip-hop all in one post.

The amount of stupidity is about to make my head explode.

The biggest over-exaggeration of the century.

Also why does he need to dedicate a song to his daughter on this album? And no. He didn't kill any song made about his mother. Just like Em frequently says, his albums are like time-capsules, you know exactly what he's feeling at that moment in time. So going back to TES you know he's pissed at his mum but listening to MMLP2 you know he isn't.
And I know this is gonna sound corny as shit but in a way, it shows that Em doesn't only present himself as an musical artist but also as just a person, with differing perceptions and opinions throughout his career. It sets him apart. He has the decency to confess his own thoughts and feelings on a record yet you don't want him to as it may "taint" feelings he had over a decade ago? That doesn't make sense..

But I slightly see where you're coming from with Encore. The theme of it was perfect. If he was in the right head space and everything was executed right instead of his first 3 albums being classics it would've definitely been the first 4.

That's just the problem. I don't want Eminem presenting himself like a normal person. I don't want to hear about his lame life. I don't want him to be a tweeter either. I just want stuff like Rap God, that puts him above people. Stuff that makes your draw drop to the floor. When Eminem made his first big hit, ''My Name Is'' we loved him for being different, not for being a regular person.

This is why Relapse is so fucking good.

but you wanted him to still have some angst against his mother and dedicate a song to his daughter. ahh, youre kinda contradicting yourself... those are aspects of his 'lame life'.
And when I mean "a person" I mean his whole body of work can be looked at as somewhat of story with different progressions, no matter how dumb that sounds.

Tbh, I think you're just too in love with his old shit.
You're not gonna change.
You're trapped in 2000 like a racist is trapped in the 1950s.
No matter how much jaw-dropping stuff Em releases today, through your eyes it's always gonna be sub-par because that feeling you got when you first saw Em and he greeted you with that high-pitched 'Hi!' was so damn orgasmic to you that everything he releases to you now leaves you blue-balled. I get it.

I'm not saying he should never talk about his life. Bit he doesn't need to bore us with little stiff like going to cosco. Halie is an exception because all halie songs are great and if u asked eminem if there is one thing on this planet he lives more than rap, what do you think he'd say? Halie, of course.

What was groundbreaking with MMLP 2? Shit I think I'm pretty reasonable. If old eminem never existed you would have no interest in hearing his new stuff. You're only interested in it because in your mind you conceive of eminem as an all time rap great.

He didn't need to make MMLP references. I get it he has a yearning for his golden days.

Why use choppy flows?

Hopsin would never sell out

You have no fucking idea what you want. First you say you wanted the album to be like Rap God, then you didn't want it to be that way, you disliked the album and then liked the album now you're back to hating it.

I thought The Game was bipolar, but damn. You change your mind every single day. At least be consistent.

There was a half a day where I was getting into it. The production is good and I had the songs stuck in my head but you're crazy if u think I meant it when u said classic. It was just a spur of the moment thing to say temporarily. Every fan has that moment when they say Dam now the album sounds ok.
