Listening to MM4 by joey made me realize how overrated Em is

theres a few skippables on it just like theres a few skippables on Recovery
that said, MM4 is a close second behind Recovery for me this year so i don't know who's overrated or underrated but both dropped great albums

Eminem needs to retire for real tho, all his attempts have been pretty weak thus far. Relapse at the idea of him trying to rap like SSLP, and how about that Recovery attempt at him making love the way you lie and not afrad.

Eminem is overrated indeed. And I agree that Em seems to have forgot what made him great during his hey-day. His skill is still there but sometimes is extremely overshadowed by corny punchlines and forced lyrics. I think if he were to re-do a Slim Shady themed album NOW than it would turn out much better than Relapse simply because he would be done apologizing for fucking up so much and would be hopefully done trying to prove his "lyrical prowess" by tossing in random forced punchlines. The Tim Westwood 2010 freestyle with Royce and Mr. Porter reminded me of the old Em (1999-2000).

Recovery was a great album but I do see how some traditional fans wouldn't like it. He did it to plant his feet back into the mainstream, something Relapse failed to do. Recovery was his apology, and I think thats why it could also be seen as corny to some people. I guarantee his next album will trash Recovery worse than Recovery trashed Relapse & Encore. His next album should be epic. No more bitching, apologizing and overdosing.
