Eh, who knows though? I agree Em listens to his fans too much. Maybe take a few complaints here and there and tweak some things, but completely changing his direction is a little much.

I think if Relapse 2 was similar to Relapse but with a normal voice such as the one in The Warning, it would have been amazing. Throw You're Never Over on as a bonus track or something.

I don't think he "hates" women (most of the time... but don't we all feel that way sometimes?) I do think he has a bit of a problem with women. Just because his lyrics are deliberately over the top it doesn't mean there isn't a grain of "truth" (his genuine feelings) in them.

The whole Slim Shady concept... He didn't just invent Slim out of thin air. There is a bit of Marshall in Slim and a bit of Slim in Marshall.

Yeah, I think he has or had...issues. Obviously with specific women, but IMO there's an undercurrent of general wariness/mistrust. But then, he seems rather skeptical about most of mankind LOL (and with good reason, I guess). Of course that's all speculation, don't know him, etc. etc.

He seems to me to be usually pretty "responsible"about that in his songs, though. Or at least that's how I perceive them. Violence against Kim specifically but also women in general is presented but also problematized. It's acknowledged as an impulse/a possible reality, but never (in a serious, non-jokey song) shown as positive. And even songs like My Fault take their humour from the fact that all sorts of lines have been crossed. But it's clear that he knows these moral rules and deliberately breaks them for shock value/hilariousness.

I think that's a much more self-aware approach than the more common "casual", supposedly "softer" sexism that's around in all sorts of music. John Mayer, Drake, The Rolling Stones, take your pick. Just because you present yourself as whinier, "poetic", "sensitive", doesn't make it any better. It mostly makes it worse, because you're normalizing that sort of assholishness.
