Em's verses with Wayne are definitely fire and better than his verses with Royce, so I'll agree on that.

Wayne inspires Eminem, and gets the best out of him to drop great verses. Royce doesn't!

Meaning that half of the song will suck (Wayne's part) and the other half will be good (Eminem's). I don't like having to skip 2 minutes of a song so Royce & Em ftw.

I only really care about Em's verse anyway, most of the times. So One Mic is right.

totally agree with the last comment. i always skip out wayne pish but ive never skipped a royce verse in a em track.

and the track that you refered to in your 1st post that bumped this thread. the shady 2.0 track. that track is fuckin brilliant, em's verse wasnt :worship: but was still really good, if wayne was in that track id do the same as what i do when yellas part comes in. i switch that shit off.

You are so fucking fat and retarded it pisses me off.

Em's verses seem great in comparison because so far, he has done the exact same formula in all 3 of their collabs. Weezy does some bullshit metaphorical verse with one liners/half assed attempts at being "poetic", pretending to be Lupe Fiasco with down syndrome, and then Em comes in at the last minute spitting an inspiring verse about how haters suck and he's 'risen again'.

When Royce and Em do a track it's either a conceptual verse for verse punchline track like Bad Meets Evil, or an underground type-ish generic punchline track. Sure, it's predictable, but atleast over 50% of the track isn't TERRIBLLLEEEEEEE like when him and Weezy collab. Em drops a good verse, Royce drops a good verse, and there's a great beat on all of their collabs except Living Proof, which is more than I can say for the Weezy tracks.

The fact that you called Forever an amazing song invalidates your opinion on ANYTHING. In fact, the fact that you like Giggs invalidates your opinion on ANYTHING.

You should be stripped of your username, you're so fucking unworthy of even being insulted in the name of an actual amazing song. Maybe if we threw glitter, synths and auto-tune on Royce's tracks you would enjoy it more, faggot.

Re: Em & Weezy >>>>> Em & Royce

Postby EminemBase » Sep 10th, '11, 12:55

Well firstly, the tracks being better overall doesn't mean Em + Weezy > Em + Royce.

Secondly, I don't agree those tracks are better.

"Forever" is cheesy as fuck and the only truly great thing about it is Em's verse. But, that's Em... not the track and not Em and Wayne's chemistry.

"Drop the World" is a good collaboration, Wayne's performane is less awful than usual. Overall it's a good result. Nice chorus.

and "No Love" - I pretty much like the track but once again, it's really only Em's verse that is anything special about it. The chorus is okay, and Wayne's verse is terrible.

"Living Proof" and "Session One" both easily kill "Forever" and "Drop the World" for me. I'd rather listen to them than "No Love" too actually.

Finally, you took 'the last three' tracks from Em / Royce? well, why not take the best that they've produced lately? and if you do that, THEN it's truly a no contest. "Welcome 2 Hell" / "Fastlane" >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Wayne's career.

Lil Wayne is a terrible rapper. When him and Em have collaborated, the result has just been a lot better than people were expecting, but not great. People over exaggerate how good it is because they were expecting something truly awful.

It's a similar concept to when Bizarre actually puts a tiny bit of effort into rhyming. People start going "wow, Bizzy killed it". Because they're used to him rapping like a four year old.

But I've heard enough Em and Wayne, and enough Lil Wayne for a life time.

Royce can be pretty hit-and-miss too and I actually think he's overrated now. And I don't agree he's a better lyricist than he ever was either. A better rapper maybe, in terms of flow and versatility... but a lot of his attempts to be clever often don't resonate at all for me. They're slightly nonsensical and pretty flat. Where as his classic BME verses are consistently bad-ass.

Even so, I'd take Em and Royce over Em and Wayne ANY day.
