think of it like this, when em had elton do the hook at the grammys, was it better? obviously not, but it was done to make the song better in terms of the circumstances, elton made it a statement because of the gay communities backlash. rihanna made this song better due to the circumstances regarding content because she was a victim of domestic violence...tho im not sure if its considered domestic violence if you're not married or it applies to relationships in general
