And Em has done nothing but improve as an artist. His delivery, his writing, his mind, it's always getting sharper. Those old Slim Shady days were perfect during that timeframe. Now he is where he needs to be, :)

I never said i hated new eminem i actually like recovery.

I don't get it you just said on the 1st page that recoverys garbage you were hating on it now your saying you like it will you make your mind up do you like recovery or not.

LTWYL is a mature, grown man talking about real life, relevant issues.

Recovery is fucken garbage. Its filled with crappy lines and sloppy flow.

First off, the music is horrible. It is as equally generic as everything else on the radio, which is why this album fits so perfectly into a line-up consisting of today's most commercially successful artists (Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Rhianna, Drake etc.). This album is home to some of the weakest drums I have ever heard ("No Love", "Not Afraid") as well as some of the most bland guitar riffs ("Talkin' 2 Myself", "Space Bound"). In addition to this, the music does not even attain a rap sound. The only element remotely reflective of the art of hip-hop producing is the sampling. Even then, chopping up Haddaway's "What Is Love" is one of the poorest excuses for a sample I have heard yet, worse than Puff Daddy sampling The Police. There is nothing great, innovative, or enjoyable about the music on "Recovery" whatsoever. If the music on "Recovery" is not bad, then all music is good.

"Recovery" is everything Eminem strived not to be ten years ago, everything he so passionately criticized - generic, bubblegum pop, and worst of all (if you had asked him in 2000) corny.

Dude you are probably the biggest retard I've ever seen. The best part is that you probably wont get the reason for me saying this right.

Yes, I do, but he's a grown ass man and he should be acting like one.

Recovery is not a pop album, not "bubblegum rap" ( :facepalm ), it's a HIP HOP album...he's still just as vile and offensive as ever. Oh no, the beats are too "poppy". Well, his lyrics aren't. I'd agree if Recovery was actually bad, but it's not.

It's because he made a song with Weezy, one with Rihanna and one with pink.
People think he sold out. Em gave to Weezy's fans a proof that he's better than wayne in every way it's possible to. Drop The world, forever and no love were enough to make weezy's fans like eminem.
Now there's a lot of them who also think eminem is one of the GOAT.

The point with Rihanna is.. Chris brown kicked the shit outta her. So Em thought "talking about abusive relationships and wife beaters.. I should take someone who has been through this to do the hook." (maybe he got some pressure by Iovine and shit, who knows.)

I can't understand why people think it's pop. On fire, Cold wind blows, Wtp or so bad are pop? Seduction is pop? Fuck it. Haters will always hate.

Recovery is a great album.

The reason its hard to transition from listening to Ems other albums and Recovery is the beats. They are the polar opposite of the beats from Ems other albums. Listening to them side by side is like listening to classical and metal side by side.

It.

Doesnt.

Work.

So Recovery is bad because those aren't the type of beats we're used to hearing Em on? Personally, I'm glad he wanted to try something different.

This is what a load of fucked up "can't let go" Stans on TR need to realise.

They want him to act like he used to :facepalm

Here is a Em/Dre interview when he was much younger, AND probably influenced by drugs or whatever the fuck he was on

And here is a 2011 Em/Dre interview when he is much older (and wiser) and is 100% sober/clean

As much as everyone loves nostalgia and thinking about the "good old days", the truth of the matter is; if Eminem was still acting like he did 10/11 years ago, then NO ONE would take him seriously. He has taken the most natural path in the world by growing the fuck up and maturing (in terms of the way he conducts himself in interviews and such)
