It's only really the hook that could be considered "cheesy". Eminem's verse is fine, so is Royce's.

If Eminem survived Ass Like That, Big Weenie, Just Lose It, FACK and We Made You then I'm sure this will be cool.

Those songs are corny to me. Straight corny, inexcusable. Stuff like LTWYL and Lighters are just commercial songs, and mehhh.

I'd rather have songs like 'Lighters' than those tracks mentioned above (even though I don't really like it)

Ignorant stans, stay out.

The subject matter of Take From Me alone makes it the worst song on the EP

Agree with everything Master Chief has said so far.

Welcome 2 Hell is exceptional, and maybe the only track off this EP I would rate as better than some classic BME tracks.

To call that TERRIBLE is wrong class.

No..that is terrible. It doesn't work both ways, like I said earlier, just because a bunch of words are similar in one meaning doesn't mean that putting them all together is clever. By your logic the last verse of this song is dope :coffee:

Royce > Eminem on the EP

Master Chief wrote:These are fantastic, of course. If we're counting Royce, I like these rhymes as much as the ones above:

"This gotta be no fair
This like hitting lottery, oh yeah
Who you know hotter, there gotta be no pair
Shotty that I got a lobotomy, yo' hair"

I honestly prefer the Eminem lines I listed a post ago. His rhymes are structured despite his fast flow. Unlike, Won't Back Down. His fast flows that irritate are songs like Loud Noises and at the end of his Lighters verse. Where his rhymes are all over the place. W2H is not the case.

Yeah but the delivery combined with the fast flow doesn't put enough emphasis on the rhymes so regardless of how good they are on paper they don't hit as hard in the song.

This song is KNOWN and PRAISED for its high level, intense energy. The lines I posted have an unimaginable level of energy. The ending back and forth of Welcome 2 Hell is pure, intense raw spitting to the core if you can't hear it then :confusion:

Praised? By who? This site? That's not a credible source. The fact is that Eminem's DELIVERY has no energy whatsoever. The only reason you say that is because the beat changes at that instant and because Em and Royce start adlibbing each other and overlapping their lines. That's what gives it enery, not because of Eminem's delivery.

The only TERRIBLE (key word: terrible) punchlines there are the shit ones and maybe the I don't love the hoes/hose one. Everything else ranges from great to sub-par.

No, ALL of those are terrible. You might be able to make a case for some of them being average but none come close to great.

See this is the problem. It's Eminem so you're okay with this shit. If I heard any of the those lines on a Copywrite song or a Vakill song I would be like what the fuck is this bullshit? But Eminem said it...so it's okay with you guys but for me it's not okay. They are terrible, end of story.

what do you think of a kiss? i think the rhyming and delivery are great on that. the back-and-forth between the two of them, especially on the third verse where they trade every few lines and use the same rhyme schemes is really impressive. the delivery is also great - he switches between calm and energized in a really natural way (for example, the "come on stripper let's hit the strip 180, throw it in reverse ...). reminds me of kill you.

also there are really great rhyme schemes scattered throughout the ep that are also very interesting. i'm not a fan of the delivery on i'm on everything, but this part is great:

break that Klonopin in half
While I smoke some chronic in the cab
with Donovan McNabb
And I dye my hair back blonde again and laugh

lighters as a whole is a pretty shitty song (hook and beat are terrible), but i thought his verse had a lot of passion. the delivery was good, and this "i love it when i tell them shove it..." part had excellent internal rhyming.

echo was a great verse all around. should have made the ep.
and the reunion had a great hook, really catchy and pretty funny, has the shady vibe to it.
and energy? the second half of the above the law verse, reminded me of third verse of amityville.

so overall i think the ep is solid, the technical aspects of rhyming are great (a huge improvement over recovery), he's switching up his delivery and it sounds great on a good number of the songs, and i personally think the subject matter was consistently entertaining (though a bit homogenous, but that can be forgiven since they were just fucking around making songs mostly with no real direction).

lol so basically, agree/disagree with the things i mentioned?

And who you think did better on the EP, Royce or Em ? And why ?

Too predictable, you could do better. Cmon, you really think we dont see what this is all about? That people didnt figure you out? You makin these kinda threads, quotin every-fuckin-body here who's not agreein with you? You hate new Eminem, wow, breaking news. Again. We got that long time ago, trust me. You dont need to make a new thread about his EP to remind us of what we already knew. That shit's as repetitive and annoying as Ems usage of "in other words".

When a man hates sumthin for sufficient reasons, he just fuckin hates it and leaves it at that, for christ sake. And he doesnt act like a naggin bitch about it. You said you'll quit postin in the Eminem section, but noooo, you just couldnt leave it, could you? See how pathetic you are?

Cool, you listen to underground rap, and new Eminem doesnt fit in your "new taste". Underground rap. I love underground rap. But I hate strictly-underground fans, such as YOU, class. How long will it take for you people to realize that you're praisin a genre just for the sake of being different and follow some "code of loyalty" like you're some fuckin samurai, and not a listener? Like you could "disappoint" music? Please, get over yourselves. You could only disappoint yourself, when you put the need to belong to a certain group over your own fuckin ears.

Now...act smart and step away from these kinda debates, about Eminem. Cuz you startin to talk shit. Em has no ENERGY now and his fast-paced rappin sucks? What a load of crap. You cant win here, nor you cant change anyone's opinion here.

Im outta this cliche thread.

Good post, agreed with that bit a lot.

Underground rap is cool but it's nerds like class_theking that put me off it. Copywrite lost 1 fan (me) because of this dick.

You know what is fascinating, for a guy like class who hates new Eminem and everything about him,its really weird how much attention he pays him,he listens to every track he drops,he even knows the punchlines on his EP with royce,if you hate something leave it at that, stop paying him attention, although i enjoy class posting in the Eminem Section, place is dead at times and he keeps it popping. :y:
