I doubt very much that the song is on Em's album. Nate says the song will come out soon. And Eminem said he is starting to toy with his album.

So maybe Nate is going to release an album soon. I'm actually surprised they didn't make a song together untill now.

Everybody can be a rapper if they want to for the right reasons, so I only agree with the "need to be" part. But having the best rapper as a brother, and all the tools that he possess, that's a HUGE advantage in comparison to the average person trying to be a rapper. If he tries and fails (which he kinda has, since he hasn't become something extra as of yet), that's double the shame. But it is understandable if he's trying mainly because Em is his brother.

What an absolutely stupid idea. Having his Mum on any track, unless it was a voice recording like Mariah Carey in the Warning, would be pathetically cheesy and highlight that he really had reached a point in his career where he is grasping at anything to try and appear different. Putting his mother, who's he's barely spoken to for years, on a track would not work at all. There's no genius to it. His mother is no Elton John and isn't a beacon of any sort of group/community who he has apparently offended. Indeed, given his stance towards his Mum in his music, having her voluntarily on a track would completely undermine his previous works; almost brushing them under a lovely, soft, warm, family-cuddling 'oh I love my mum again' carpet.


I have to say as well that doing a joint with his brother would be awful. He isn't Hailie, and he isn't a little boy; and he certainly isn't competent enough at rapping to hold his own on a track with Eminem.
The USP for having Hailie on a track is that she sounds so adorable and completely natural. She's not rapping or pretending to be something, her vocals fit the mood of the son: whether it's her baby noises in '97 Bonnie and Clyde, or her screaming that her 'Dad's gone crazy'. It isn't cheesy and it doesn't feel fabricated at all. It's not that Em went out of his way to make a song with Hailie, rather events in his life led to her inclusion in his material.

I think their voices would fit well together on a track but hopefully Nate's writing has improved or big bro helps him out. Interesting he said a while ago he didn't want to work with Eminem because he wanted to establish his own identity. I guess he figures that ain't gonna happen. Eminem casts a huge shadow.

Jay Z and Nas are possibly the biggest examples of people who went at each other HARD on wax, whose diss tracks are memorable and classic yet still reconciled. Its a normal part of hip-hop to be in a different space in your life and then say something different.

Those are terrible examples. In interviews around 1999-2000 Eminem often talked of his relationship with Kim. In Amsterdam he said 'I won't cheat on my girl'. His love for her was plain to see. Those lies from GTC don't make Kim a lie. He could easily have written a love song about Kim one day in 1997, and then gone and made Kim the next.

His relationship with his mother is completely a different affair. With Kim he was constantly in communication with her, whereas this is a woman who he hasn't spoken to for years. Coming out of the blue to make a track with her would just be awkward, and as I said before it would highlight that he really is clutching at straws with regards to coming out with new material.
