Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

As a song - it sucks. As a hit that supposed to attract the masses - it's great.

Tis song is an example of a good idea/concept for a lead single that was poorly executed.

fuck the world, feed it beans,
It's gassed up
if it thinks it's stoppin' me!

Too many shitty lines like that for this song to be any better than average. However, I am such a Stan that I still bump it. Relapse wasn't the kind of stuff he was respected for either. Relapse was an album that could have een done by any multi syllable underground rapper (but the production was perfect). It doesn't touch SSLP, MMLP or SSLP though. It wouldn't have made Em's career 10 years ago the way those three albums did. If he followed up SSLP with Relapse it would have fucking bombed.

lol not any random multisyllabic underground rapper can make songs like Stay Wide Awake, Deja Vu, Same Song & Dance, Buffalo Bill, My Mom, Music Box, 3 AM etc. Its NOT an album full of meaningless songs with multi-syllabic rhymes as you are trying to imply. The music is very much reminiscent of the old vintage eminem.

I love Not Afraid.

You guys call the song corny, corny why? I would understand if someone say Beautiful is corny, but Not afraid? I have a friend who only listen to rock and metal and he loves this song.
And I like that the song has a message instead of talking about cars and money.
In the land of the killers, a sinner's mind is a sanctum.

I think it's good, that's all.

Section.80 and GKMC are a lot better (classics) imo.

Fuck the hatred.

It was a great first single.

I've always loved it and I'm still bumping this song.

Great job, Em... It's the real comeback song for me!

I loved going through and finding all his complex rhyme schemes. Overall it is a very impressive album in that aspect, almost too much as I found the rhyming on Recovery really underwhelming in comparison. I just think it lacks a few things all amazing art needs. He really wasn't pushing any boundaries, he was just trying to rhyme as much crazy shit as possible. It feels like very random content, but up until that he was very focused and always had something to say. I mean, even Encore had inportant themes and good song concepts (mostly).

Although I agree MBDTF is a lot better than Relapse and Recovery I know how hated it is on this site. I think people will be more likely to agree with me or take my point seriously if I use Kendrick.

Welcome back Sam... :y:
Good point too... Not Afraid been the most damaging or damaging period is outta the picture.
It served its purpose a great deal so it even stays strong as totally the opposite of damaging even on a street level considering the gigantic message of the song.
Nowhere near to my favorite ones but well done indeed.

Well, the OP is not talking from the commercial point of view, I fear.
