Stan vs Loae Yourself was a good one.

His two best songs, probably.

A harder choice? Hmm...

"Kill You" vs. "Criminal" ;; "Cold Wind Blows" vs. "Almost Famous"...

Or... dum dum dummmmm - MMLP VS. TES YO.

I'd go with...

Almost Famous
MMLP

I don't think any Recovery songs will be hard for that many.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

Yeah I have to agree it is Mainstream if you consider mainstream = popular. But in no way was the track intended to become a radio single. If I recall The Way I am was the second to last track recorded that made the MMLP, he wrote it when Interscope were pressuring him to write a good first single like "My Name Is" He got pissed off and ended up writing "The Way I Am", a week or so later he wrote "The Real Slim Shady" and the album was done.

I'm not gonna be able to top on "My Name Is"

SliK wrote:Lmao The Way I Am wasn't mainstream AT ALL. it is pure fucking anger and lyricism.

The Way I Am was massive and it was everywhere when it came out. How was it not mainstream? Mainstream isnt a sound.

Was it though?

Em never had a #1 until Lose Yourself. Every Eminem song is mainstream to a degree because it's Eminem. We're talking about songs off two of the highest selling hip hop albums of all time lol...

Yeah, well actually THEE two best selling if we're talking count of actual sales.

As the only things which beat it are Biggie's Life After Death (double album, so didn't really sell that many, sold in the 5 millions but just counted as 10 odd) and Speakerboxxx/Love Below (same).

I think the way 1 sale is counted as 2 for double albums shouldn't be done... it's still one product that a person is choosing to buy, it's one offering from that artist... It's one sale, not two sales of the same album; they're declaring the albums separate by saying 2 sales, in which case it should be two separate sales of 'two albums' if anything... not 2 sales of the SAME album. Because if it's the same, then it's ONE sale of ONE album. Double just makes it longer. So that's bullshit.

So if you discount double albums in that way - TES and MMLP are the two best selling albums in hip-hop. Which, to be fair... couldn't be more justified. It'd be pretty annoying if Encore and Recovery were but his two best, and two of the best rap albums ever... much deserved.

Who Knew for me, his voice is too sick on that song.

Who Knew :flutter:

BTW, EminemBase, choosing between 'Rock Bottom' and 'White America' is kind of heartbreaking. But I do enjoy 'White America' a bit more.

Before it fades into black and it’s all over
Behold the final chapter in the saga,
Trying to recapture that lightning trapped in a bottle twice
The magic that started it all
Tragic portrait of an artist tortured
Trapped in his own drawings
Tapping the thoughts
Blacker and darker than anything imaginable
Here goes a wild stab in the dark
As we pick up the last Mathers’ last art"

The Way I Am. They're both 10/10 song's. Raw anger mixed with the subject matter it was makes it one of the best.
