Banning things is for 5 year olds. Let's be adults about things and evolve.
Banning is stagnant, openly using and discussing is progressing.
Banning the word here might be for 5 year olds, but when you see how certain members here act like 2 year olds with that word, it kind of justifies it.
But it's not censored anymore, so..
I don't think it ever justifies it.
I think it's patronizing for any group of humans to think they have the right or need to protect another group of humans from a word...
Because if that preferential treatment extends only to that one word due to the historical significance, how is that NOT racism? It's special consideration of just one word, how is that NOT unbalanced... it's nobody's place to ban words or act as thought-police, regardless of the use of the word; who among us is the moral judge or protector of each other's feelings, so much so that we can declare the very usage of a word wrong or decide when and where it can be lmao.
That's dictatorish behaviour, regardless of how good the intentions; censorship is always wrong.
