Album of the Year through my idea of it, is Eminem's Award.

Grammy's think of the album of the year as the best, which is why Arcade Fire won.

Under my notion, Team of the Year goes to Green Bay Packers,

but if the super bowl was won like the grammys, then New England Patriots would be the winner (cause they were technically the best team).

I also have no doubts that half the people defending Arcade Fire would have googled them after their grammy win and only then praising them.

The problem isn't Arcade Fire though, what are they supposed to do, hand over the award? The problem is clearly the Grammy's voting methods and inconsistencies. There's a reason why the Grammys gets no attention other than the actual day it's on, as opposed to the Oscars which has a build of months, because it's legit.

I have said it for weeks if Em doesnt win, Arcade Fire will.

They were 0-2 in the Best Album Category in the past just like Eminem. So not Arcade Fire is 1 for 3 in that category and Em is 0-3.

Nobody should go...WTF is Arcade Fire and they robbed Eminem. That just makes Em fans sound like Bieber fans. I believe Em deserved it. Em should have won. But i'm not surprised at all it didnt.

It's a great album, it's just not better than Recovery.

As long as Kanye don't win AOTY next year im not going to dwell on Em losing it. I just don't think Kanye deserves AOTY before Eminem.

Yeah i have and i think they deserved the award. The Suburbs is a near flawless album, and really is Arcade Fire in their prime. For another amazing album by them, check out The Funeral. In all honesty i was kinda nervous for Em to even win the Rap Album of the Year, so I was glad to see him take that. I think people forget that there is such a vast majority of different music out there, so when Eminem loses to someone they haven't heard of they think he was "robbed". Really? Maybe all you guys should throw in an application for the Grammy committee if you think your knowledge of music is so great. Just because you only listen to the radio and to Eminem, doesn't mean there isn't a shit ton of amazing music out there that you have to look around for.

Arcade Fire's music isn't my type of music, however I'll admit they're good. I have a friend who's a big fan of them so I've been checking them out for a couple of months though. However The Suburbs isn't better than Recovery. The Suburbs is probably their worst album yet, actually. The Funeral and Neon Bible were both alot better than The Suburbs.

it's the grammy's problem, we're all just upset cause he lost to someone we don't know and because he has now been screwed 3 times, but just for album of the year...at least i'm assuming those defending em for saying he should have won mostly fit into both or at least one of those reasons

ridicolous how most of you just say they didn't deserve it, when most of you obviously know nothing about the musical world outside of eminem and his affiliates. personally I know nothing about arcade fire, other than I'm not into their type of music so I can't say wether they could have deserved to win or not....

and the genre they lost in, the winner there wasn't nominated for album of the year, it's that simple....

eminem didn't even deserve to win rap album of the year imo.... so many better unominated hip-hop albums, it's a crime Distant Relatives wasn't nominated for that AND album of the year.
