He didn't become famous for being a singer. He felt that singing was the best way to represent his feelings about the loss of Proof, so that's what he did. Even if Eminem felt that his singing sounded shitty, he most likely would have still released it because he probably wouldn't have cared, as it was not about the way he sang. When I hear a new Em track, I don't skip to the chorus and base the whole song off of how he sung. I listen to his lyrics... like I've been doing for the past 10 or so years.
