C'mon though.. was it really that bad of singing from a rap artist? I mean, sure, he sounded good on Hailie's Song... ten years ago. I think it was the main idea of the song as well. He didn't give a fuck if it the goddamn chorus sounded like shit. Seriously though, you could tell that the words of the chorus were very meaningful to him, as well as the verses themselves. The song is fantastic. How the hell are you gonna say that his semi-average singing ruins the song? It's about Proof. He didn't make it to impress his fans. He was dedicating the words, not hitting the damn high-note.

He didn't become famous for being a singer. He felt that singing was the best way to represent his feelings about the loss of Proof, so that's what he did. Even if Eminem felt that his singing sounded shitty, he most likely would have still released it because he probably wouldn't have cared, as it was not about the way he sang. When I hear a new Em track, I don't skip to the chorus and base the whole song off of how he sung. I listen to his lyrics... like I've been doing for the past 10 or so years.

Just because he raps doesn't mean he is allowed to suck ass in other areas. I don't base songs off choruses, i base songs on the strong & weak parts. & this chorus is weeeeeaaaak.

I was pretty sure he intentionally sang terribly for the sake of humor (along with picking a terrible beat), but given the many other instances of terrible singing in recent work (Not Afraid, Drop the World, etc.), I'm not sure anymore.

I do think his singing on "Kim" was intended to be that way, though. He actually knew what he was doing back then.

Like, it's quite odd that he himself didn't hear it and go "wow okay, no way"...

He can sing to a degree but like... not in that note lmao. But like, "Halie's Song", when he went a little deeper, he should have done a hook like that, as that hook works well / he sounds quite good on it. But yeah this hook sounds almost like a self-parody but, I still find it pretty addictive tbh.
