Kill You and White America set the tone perfectly for those 2 albums.
I'm not really sure Bad Guy sets the tone as well, as much as I love the song (9.5/10) I'm not sure it should've been the opener for MMLP2. I think either Brainless or So Far should've been.

I love both Bad Guy and Kill you but i based my choice off of the Impact it had on me. And I've never been as shocked by a track, until i heard Bad Guy. That was some roller coaster ride of emotions. Whew.

On topic: you want to know why Evil Deeds is shit?

Okay.

First off: the hook. Eminem has never been good at singing, and most likely never will. However, on some occasions, he can at least sound okay (Rhyme Or Reason, Mockingbird, Beautiful). In the case of Evil Deeds, however, he uses this EXTREMELY high pitched voice which grates on your ears like nails on a chalkboard.

Secondly: The lyrics.

The singing in this song is obviously meant to be a young confused Marshall whining about where his dad is hence the high pitched voice c'mon man

It also Gives you a bit more of an insight into how shitty this kids life was

Nobody caring for him
Being dumped at his aunt and uncles
Being bullied by other kids
Not getting a stitch for Christmas
and no matter how much money or respect he had earned this shit still haunts and hurts him in his adult life wich I think is pritty deep sure as fuck the lyrics are not the greatest but i get it.

Firstly: NO WAY that is the reason for the high pitched voice You're reaching.

Secondly: All of those topics have been covered before and were executed MUCH better than they were on Evil Deeds, and with much more detail.

Not only that, but that's not what the song is ABOUT. Just because he references topics doesn't mean he goes into detail. Insight? What insight? He doesn't tell us anything about his life we didn't already know. They're not deep at all. What part of Evil Deeds is in any way clever, witty, or deep?

And that's just talking about the song's content. Let's not even get STARTED on the rhyming.
