Can you post the lyric? I'm assuming it's Relapse.

Still surprising.

Bruce Almighty can rhyme good with anything as well, although he literally is god.

It's a whole new scheme, I don't think he has to maintain the same amount of syllables as the previous one.
Or have I misunderstood you?

This thread is ridiculous. You can find some weird shit and call it "super-motherfucking-genius-hidden-rhyme", but you cant admit that "nothing to do/fucking do goo" rhymes with each other. At the same time most of you shout "omg em can bend words so great that it rhymes", and in this case it's not even bending words it's just the simillar sounds which fit the rhyme scheme. Whether it is double "o" or not - it is still the pretty same sound which helps to build the rhyme better.

Wholly shit. Where are you getting "goo" from.

Your changing the word to suit your argument.

It's not debatable, "do" does not rhyme with "good".

Seriously, trying saying them. It really helps to clear things up.

Im not changing anything. From the the very first time i was speaking about two syllables - "do" and "goo". I didnt mean that "do" and "good", as words, technically rhymes perfectly. I meant that "goo" sound fits the rhyme scheme too, when Slik post this

No. And I Did Not say that "do" rhymes with "good". I Did Not. But, as Amadeo said,
Those two lines have multiple sets of repeated vowel sounds and they sound smooth as fuck,
you cant just except this "goo" sound ("goo",the sound. Not "good", the word.") from the rhyme scheme. Because, like it or not, it was used on purpose there - to
sound smooth as fuck
. Thats why I consider "nothin to do/fucking do goo" as a rhyme. I hope you'll finally get my point.

You can't change the fact that he doesn't pronounce the 'goo' part of the word as "goo". If you listen to how he says it, it doesn't rhyme. This is a thread about rhyming, not sounding smooth as fuck. "Do" and "goo(d)" don't rhyme.

Whitefox, I realise where you are getting confused.

"goo" does not rhyme with "good".

Eminem nevers says "goo". Never pronounces a "goo" sound.

Amadeo was saying the repeated vowel sounds as so.

And I got nothin' to do but make you look stupid as parents

"stare at/mirror" isn't very clean for an end rhyme. But his end rhymes in the end of that verse actually weren't perfect. It was just a focus on the "you" and "hear" sounds.

And the "start" is a stressed syllable compared to "in/get" so he flow's it differently.

But the "you start to stare at" probably was intended to go with the rhyme.

Like you said, "for the most part, I don't think he was as focused on multis as some people think, when he was writing back then. He was interested in the overall sound of the lyrics on the ear". I think you nailed it with that. Your example doesn't rhyme perfectly, and I'm not saying that to discredit your example, but to support your earlier claim that the overall sound is what he focused on.
