No not at all, it clearly has a purpose, a very good one. It just could have accomplished that purpose much better.

Well, that's how you had made it sound, so sorry

But still...you actually think Fack is better than LTWYL? I mean, I hardly listen to LTWYL, but Em made the right move when he decided to record this song. He knew it was gonna be a hit, and it is. That doesn't mean that the song is trash, by any means. I liked the song on my first listen, and the reason why I don't listen to it so much anymore is because it became a single and it got way too popular. I hear LTWYL every time the radio is on, and I MEAN every time, so I began to like it less as time went by. But, despite the commercial sound of the song, it's very beautifully written. It's probably one of the more well written songs on Recovery, to be honest

It's really not that bad. People just gotta get out of the mindset that Em was putting Rihanna on the hook TOO be successful, and that Em actually has Ri-Ri on the song for a real reason, a complete clash of worlds, coming from two different sides of a violent relationship. That's part of the hidden brilliance behind this song that nobody likes to admit

The one thing I hate about the song, is the new fans that it has brought. Because the fans who only know that one song, have never heard of his past albums before. And it's sickening and depressing that they're missing out on the TRULY classic shit (Recovery's good enough, I think it's a classic in 2010 standards)

Haha I wasn't getting mad at you. I have nothing against Em working with Rihanna, other than it doesn't sound good (to me). I also don't care that it is crazy popular or appeals to pop fans, if it gets them listening to Em, awesome. But hey, if you like it cool. Doesn't hurt me any. And at the end of the day, Em is making bank off of it so good for him.

Good call. It's like LYM, minus the genuine emotion, and then systematically pussified.

I hate it when people say that.
I like Love You More more too, because it is just so much more Eminem.
But LTWYL is better and there is no doubt about that. LYM is supposed to be a serious love song, yet Eminem uses phrases such as "we fuck 'till we bust", "all the hoopla, all of the woopty woo
What you put me through, fuckin' woopty do". That just doesn't fit.
Wheras LTWYL is perfectly written and delivered.

I'm leaving you
No you ain't
Come back
We're running right back
Here we go again
It's so insane
Cause when it's going good
It's going great
I'm Superman
With the wind in his bag
She's Lois Lane
But when it's bad
It's awful
I feel so ashamed
I snap
Who's that dude
I don't even know his name
I laid hands on her
I'll never stoop so low again
I guess I don't know my own strength

Look at the way he maintains this clever rhymescheme while expressing himself, rather than babbling some bullshit. Rhyming "Lois Lane" with "know his name" is so much more creative and something only Eminem could come up with. I really can't see how you could deny the song's artistic value.

But honestly, from what I've seen in that thread, arguing makes no sense.

Implying that Eminem striving to include his Young Money style punchlines in the song with the Window Pain line and other similiar ones isn't out of place? lol wut

Good, I'll give you the window pane line even though I also don't hate is as much as half the people on this forum.

Why bother? You like listening to Eminem croon like a fucking pussy with Rihanna stood next to him, i don't; neither of us is gonna convince each other no matter what "arguments" we put up. I mean it's not like i paid any attention to that bolded analysis of the verse you posted, makes no difference to me, i don't like what the song stands for and i still maintain that it's just a shit Love You More with Rihanna on it in order to sell.
